My Work

A lot of the people I see are dealing with the effects of childhood trauma. These might have been emotional, physical, mental, sexual or spiritual.

Having worked with such a diversity of people over a long period of time, I work in a client-centred way, incorporating integrative approaches, depending on what is most appropriate.

As a supervisor, I provide the trainee counsellor room to work with the client, helping them to understand the client from different perspectives. I monitor the counsellor’s work, exploring the working alliance.

I am a friendly and committed person, adapt easily to new environments and I enjoy working as part of a wider team. I have no prejudice against any race, culture, disability or religion.I have an empathetic approach to my clients which is based on confidentiality and trust.

In a session I create a safe and non-judgemental environment where clients are made to feel valued, understood and listened to, where they are free to express and explore any concern.

I speak Portuguese, English and Spanish.

I am the Founder, Senior Manager and Clinical Supervisor for the counselling charity, Need To Talk.

Need to Talk counselling services is a charity organisation based in Harrow. We offer a non judgemental, understanding and safe place where concerns and issues can be worked on and explored by a fully qualified counsellor on a one to one basis.
